As a comparison our Cayman S in Arctic Silver with standard silver wheels, and GTS in GT Silver with GT Silver wheels

I find that silver cars with dark wheels make the whole package appear 'dirty'. Don't care for the look. Much prefer the lighter wheels.

Funny how this showed up , as I’m in my final stages of ordering my Spyder.
I keep going back and forth. The standard wheels look fantastic and makes it a clean look.
Platinum wheels gives it some contrast that I like as well.
decisions decisions 🙄

I wish Rhodium and Arctic would make a come back.

Even better would be Polar Silver!!

Yeah, you really can't go wrong. I ordered my GT Silver Cayman GTS 4.0 PDK yesterday, and swapped the stock Satin Black 718 Sport Wheels for Painted in Silver.

the beauty of Porsche , they will take your money 😜
however I’m still trying to fight for the steering wheel with red 12 0”clock marker for the Spyder 😕
GT4 has it as an option but the Spyder gets no love 😂

I would kill to get the Spyder Wheels on my CGTS 4.0, but alas, not an option.

GT Silver is the deepest, richest, and best Porsche silver. Would be a loss if it got replaced with any of those.

IMHO, either would work but I would coordinate the headlights to compliment the rims. So if I was opting to keep the standard chrome headlights I'd get silver rims. If I opted for the Platinum rims I would invest in a darker headlight option. My first choice would be to spend the coin and go with the LED Headlights (as they compliment the GT Silver Spyder so well), or at the very least get the darker Bi-Xenon™ Headlights in Black.

I wish GT silver was an available wheel color. It would make the choice so much easier.

The pic I took was approaching sunset, hence the purple hues. But GT Silver also looks darker than the pic you have posted.

Here is a silver with black wheels on a GT4 released a few days ago. Taste is subjective but I like the combo.

I prefer platinum, particularly on the GT4 because I think they look racier. On the Spyder, I think it’s a toss up, either works but still slightly prefer platinum.
