3. The Burmester is my favorite option; turn up the volume to drown out the engine drone when you inevitably have to drive down a multi-lane highway at 3000 rpm
4. The dashboard trim package in leather is my least favorite option; you get very little for your $1610
Very nice, congrats!

Regarding your comments, I have some seat time in my buddies GT4 with iron brakes, yep his squeak too. My SA tried to convince me to get the dashboard trim in leather, I didn't see the value either, and I was warned that bright/contrasting deviated stitching showed up as a distracting reflection in the windshield.

Congrats! When you have a moment, can you take pictures of the dashboard trim in leather you're referring to? I originally spec'ed it but to help manage cost, we cut it out. Curious to see it. What color stitching did you spec?

Is this Carrara White Metallic?
Yes, its CWM, and has a nice subtle sparkle and creaminess to it. I was torn between CWM and Chalk. If this wasn't my first Porsche I might have been bolder and selected Chalk.

The stitching by the windscreen didn't distract me on my first couple of drives, but it's probably accentuated in certain lighting conditions. My SA didn't try to push this one on me (wheel & tire insurance on the other hand...)

I went with silver stitching. I'll get some pictures mid-week, but in the meantime Janko has a clip of it in this video (go to about 8:55):

Creaminess? interesting. Have you even been able to compare Porsches standard White to Carrara White Metallic in person? I've only ever seen side by side photos and CWM always seems to have an ever so slight blueness to it (but that could just be my computer monitor).

I'm very pleased with the car. It's so well balanced and nimble. Considerable power increase over 981 GT4, which I previously had. In terms of driver engagement, I think it beats my gt3 pdk in the smiles per miles department, especially with it being a Spyder. It's a mini-speedster for a 1/3 of the price that you can actually drive on the street. Pretty basic build, nothing too crazy. Perfect addition to GT3 PDK. Will post more pics later. It's going to be PPF'd and coated next week. Keeping it under 5k but it's tough. Will likely add Fabspeed exhaust here shortly after break in.

Nice Porsche family.

Question about your ppf. Are you doing full body wrap? If so, do you know what the installer's plan is for the 718 Spyder badging on the rear? Will they remove and re-install or go around the badging?

@halfmonkey - remove and rebadge. I have full PPF on GT4 and did that. Best way for clean install and you'll have no problems with rebadging if installer is competent.

I've never rebadged or had a car rebadged so I guess my main question would be how does the dealer or ppf installer make certain that the 718 spyder badge is perfectly centered when rebadging?

In my case I took off the 'PORSCHE GT3' and replaced with a 997 'GT3'...997 because the lettering is bigger to provide more presence in the space because the word 'PORSCHE' is now gone. There was a RL user who made an excellent template for specifically 991.2 GT3 and the 997 'GT3' badge. I provided that to the installers.

It's done all the time. It's detailed work, the installer can also quite easily make a template before removing and use that to help position on reinstall. Talk to your installer and gauge confidence level. Also, maybe dealers already have templates for the model specific factory badging.....if so, have dealer reinstall badges instead of PPF installer.

I defiantly agree with you on the CWM and the slight blueness, its crispy and cool in color. My husband has a GT3 from the white collection and the colors are very different side by side. Can't wait to get mine this weekend, its been having the ceramic coating and all the extra trimmings my husband ordered installed.

I would have said White has creaminess. CWM has blue as it's a colder white. It's also the same/very similar to Audi Glacier White Metallic, I've had both at the same time.
