For me, the issue of black wasn't as much about cleaning, because putting a nano-coating and having Optima NoRinse at the ready made that easy. It's that permanent/semi-permanent marks in the clear coat that you wouldn't even notice on other colors, you always notice on black. So even after you clean it, it doesn't look perfect. Over time you just accumulate spots and marks that you can't get rid of even with a good cleaning, yet you wouldn't even notice on a car painted white or silver. That was my biggest complaint.

 

I want to see one like this with blacked out calipers now... full Darth spec.

Yes black on black I truly love when new and clean ..... So for like one day take all the pictures you can since it will never be that clean again. GB or Yellow this go around for me.... till the mental scarring of dirty black has faded from my mind in a few more years.

 

No argument that black is without a doubt the worse colour to take care of, but... any dark blue will not be far off, Gentian Blue included, how do I know? I am coming off 2 back to back Dark Blue Metallic Boxsters, after 7 years I said no more!

 

God can't win!!! My wife called chalk "dirty dishwater" the other day when I showed her colors...... #cantwin since MB is being taken away before my order goes in.

 

Well, if Shark Blue looks like this (below), I would actually prefer it over Miami Blue... all personal preference of course, and tell your wife I am offended that she thinks of my Chalk Porsche that way!

I will just leave this here for the black Spyder fans. It was in the running for me - beautiful colour on this car.

Epic color, but I could spot swirls in the first three seconds of the video that would drive me nuts.

 

Me too. Brought back bad memories of my black F360 Spyder 😊. Brutal to keep perfect. Clay barring all the time.

 

Fortunately, I like them looking a little dirty...they look fine clean, of course. ;-)
