That was my splitter height on the GT350... Never measured but was freakin' low... I managed not to scrape it too much so 6 inch is going to be "F-150 like" for me!!

I think the angle of the photo matters in terms of trying to figure out clearance without measuring.

Sorry for the low quality photos, but I think it shows a slightly different shade of the gentian blue. European version so white indicator lights.

Ah thank you...... I am really trying to get my car in the 115-118k range, want PCCB so bad but man get hard to stay in that range with PCCB or can forgo PCCB and its pretty easy. But man PCCB with GB look sooooo good. This black calipers is not bad though.

Agree black calipers offer something unique on the Porsche. Seriously contemplated them on my build.

So if you had same internal debate; what was final turning point to go away from them go red? (Had 3 Porsches now that where black paint red calipers just trying to do something different)

I think because I was going with Satin Black wheels, I felt that perhaps the black calipers would get somewhat lost and the red with black worked better for me in the end. But even on deciding car colour I built silver, black and then finally decided on GB. And now that I have it, I’m glad I did. Whatever you decide, when you are in the drivers seat of the this car, you seem to forget all of it.

Just got offered 2x GT4's at MSRP from my good friend, John Schaefer @ Champion Porsche. Both cars are Gentian Blue, one with LWB the other 18 ways. I have a Spyder coming in 2 weeks but told John I would post the cars. John is a really great Porsche guy, hit him up if you're interested - john@champion-porsche.com

I initially put a $1k deposit down on the "next gen GT4" in August 2017. It wasn't until early this year (January I think), I got a call from that the dealer that they had an allocation for me. Production started March 3rd. Then the world stopped. Finally, picked it up today! Traded in my 2015 981 Cayman GTS. Dealer is ~85 miles away, so my initial driving impressions:
- I'm not staying with a strict break-in, but keeping it below 5k (most of the time) and varying RPMs
- The shifter is shorter than my 981, feels really good, but the 981 6MT was also very good
- The clutch is much lighter than the 981, but I got used it pretty quickly. Only killed the engine once (so far). One benefit of auto stop/start (which I disabled right away) is it auto restarts the engine if you kill it. Drove my friend's M2 awhile back and this clutch is somewhere between the 981 and the M2.
- Steering is lighter than the 981, but still feels pretty good although I probably prefer it to be a tad bit heavier. Maybe just used to my 981.
- A bit more road noise than the 981, but expected given it's a GT car
- The engine sounds from inside the cabin are amazing. I actually don't care how it sounds outside as much as others. I prefer the sound of the 4.0 particularly above 4k even in fifth gear on the freeway. A good throaty grunt when accelerating. I never much liked the pops and burbles from the 981 so don't miss that at all.
- Took a chance on the buckets since I didn't have an opportunity to try them beforehand. For a 85 mile drive, they were very comfortable and fit me well. Will need to practice getting out of them.
- Love the carbon fiber trim. One of my few regrets of my 981 order was to have the default trim. Very happy with this choice.
- Love the red dials. I have the steering column casing in leather option which came with deviated stitching. Looks great. There is a small amount of glare, but given I have red stitching and red dials, it doesn't present itself as a problem for me. Also, most of the time I drive with polarized sunglasses anyways so it becomes invisible.
- Love Apple Carplay with Waze. My wife's Macan GTS has Carplay and I use it quite often. Might not even install my old radar detector and just rely on Waze and my eyeballs/senses. Coming back home, on two occasions I was getting ready to pass a slow car only to notice once I was up to them they were police SUVs. Slowed down in time!
- Had the leather steering wheel in my 981, I actually like the Alcantara steering wheel feel of my GT4, but will probably drive with gloves most days. Bought the Sonax Alcantara cleaner and brush already . The wheel also feels smaller than my 981.
- The rear wing doesn't really impact rear mirror visibility that much. At least during the day, haven't driven at night yet.
- No "free stripes" on the front radiator!
- Michelin tires!
- Overall, very happy with this purchase!
Guards red dials, stitching, and belts. Carbon fiber trim. Sport bucket seats.
