Did any one else get a an Air Bag recall notice from Porsche ?
I got one today for my earlier GT4

Yes mine arrived in the UK, claimed that we needed a software upgrade and it would be installed in October 2019.

Just got mine in the mail yesterday (9/17/2019) on my 2016 GT4. Airbag control or something. Says airbag can randomly deploy.... WHAT?

This happened on a coworker's Tesla. Sitting in traffic, dead stop, airbag just exploded. Definitely get it fixed ASAP.

Has anyone actually had the software update installed? I'm not sure if my OPC is delaying things but they're not telling me much at all!

I took my car in two weeks ago _ i called and was told that I should. Then that evening they told me to come back in December. The Service person showe me an emailfrom Porsche UK saying 'not ready yet'. I pointed out that the US was already doing this and was told ' sorry but this email is all we know for the moment'.

My "new" GT4 is subject to the recall but I was told by my local dealer last week they aren't ready to perform the software update.

I believe that Porsche UK in Reading have received instructions from Germany TODAY and are being tested by technical at the moment so we will hopefully know later today/tomorrow. Might be worth quizzing you’re OPC for an update, the more we push the quicker we get this done.
