Congrats on the allocation btw - looks like my allocation was not meant to be. Not terribly heart broken - quite content with my basic black beauty - and with the high interest and luxury tax here in Canada not sure I would take my allocation… but maybe, just maybe for the above build

I would consider Frozen Berry for my GT4 order locking next month except the configuration site won’t let me select it.

I know this has been beaten to death on this thread already, but just to throw in one more datapoint in case anyone else is still in doubt, I was chatting with a salesman today who has no reason to lie to me (not in my home town and not trying to sell me anything), and he confirmed all GT4 and Spyder allocations are done, and that all outstanding demand orders that remained in the system have been cancelled by Porsche. Will be calling my dealer for my deposit back this week, and if they don't have a very good explanation for why I didn't hear it from them first I will be back here to name and shame...

Just yesterday I was driving down to St. Simons Island when I received a call from my SA that he was just given my Spyder allocation for a build date for 5/23. Have been waiting since 6/20 and had been first on the list for many months. Of course not sure on a delivery date but I hope for mid summer. I had just visited with him last week and has stated that it looked like the spyder was never going to happen. He told me that he guesses these will be probably some of the last ones built.

I contacted my SA early Jan 2023, he stated currently no update but he was hopeful for allocation.

End Jan 2023 I received a call stating I received my allocation @ MSRP. I placed a deposit 1/2022, basically 1 year wait.

Freeze date is tomorrow (2/14/2023).

Delivery projection (5/5/2023).

I'm not saying anyone is wrong, but I don't think any of us have the exact answer at this point. Coupled with multiple people passing on allocations due to PLDS+, Bucket seats, and often PCCB not being allowed to option on GT4.

Is Porsche done with the 718 Spyder and now focused on the 4RS and SRS?
Looking for an allocation but told that Porsche is done.

nothing official from Porsche yet, however looking at what is currently happening its a good bet that the GT4/Spyder are finishing production this year and any allocations that are still available dealerships are either holding onto for specific people or trying to sell them at higher ADM. There might a few still floating around but you're going to need to either really hit the pavement calling everyone or be willing to pay a small fee and work with a broker.

Latest word from my dealer is that this may be true in other regions, but is not the case in our region (and the other dealer was indeed in another region). I may be a sucker, but I tend to believe he's giving me the best info he has at the moment. So, leaving my deposit down for now/until the situation becomes unambiguous, but starting in earnest to explore alternative options...
