There is only one way to settle a argument like this.
Race.
You both drive your respective cars, on a race track and winner can take the pink slip of the other car. Alternatively, loser pays for as many drinks as the winner can stomach.
Simple.
Oh, the guy with more deeper pockets can ship his car and meet the other guy.

That would be a lot of fun, but I suspect it would be "nasty, brutish and short" to misuse a quote from Leviathan
Back to the 718 - I thought the Car Advice review was fairly solid.
