Ok, so a couple of months ago I found a 22 718 GTS 4.0 at my local dealer at a good price, well spec'd and a manual. Traded in my 20 Jag F-type SVR Loved the Cayman and was an absolute joy to drive. So, with my serial obsession of perusing cars for sale came across a 20 Carrera S with only 4700 miles on the clock. Had to test drive it. Guess what I'm picking up today?? btw, it's Agate Grey with a Bordeaux Red/Black interior, PDK, Burmester, and it is loaded with all other options. Turns out it was a launch vehicle.
Good for you if that’s what you want. I sold my manual 991.2 C4S and went back to a manual Boxster 25. I would be bored of the PDK 911 in a few days tops. Hahaha. Have fun.
Interesting. I did the exact opposite. Custom ordered 2023 992 C2. Struggled for a year trying to figure out what was wrong and while
loved owning and looking at my dream 911, never loved driving it. It’s a great car but for a second weekend type car it was way more GT cruiser and felt bigger than I expected. After a year and half sold it back to my dealer when I was able to get an allocation for a 718 GTS 4.0 manual which is heading up from Panama to San Diego as I type this. 😊
I am hoping the 718 GTS is more what I was after and hopefully the C2S brings you many miles of smiles. Congrats!

I loved everything about the 718. I also own an 06 Z4M coupe so the high revving NA 6 cylinder and a manual really ticks all the boxes. Here in Atlanta with the crap ton of traffic the manual was starting to wear a bit thin for me. Good luck with the 718 I'm sure you'll love it

Ahhh yes then that PDK in the 992 you should love. Its really great in traffic. Such a good all around car.

I did something very similar,
sold my 2006 mustang gt with full
bolts ons, race suspension, hurst shifter, brembos, etc that I drove for over 16 years and bought a 2025 BMW M2 with a manual and it was boring, didn’t enjoy driving it as much as my mustang so I got rid of it.
Picked up a 22 GT4 manual a month ago and other than the price being scary, no complaints it’s very fun to drive, only mod that’s getting done as we speak are over axle pipes as they allegedly add about 20hp reduce some weight and make the car sound better.
The only turbo car I’ve ever been impressed by and I’ve driven an absurd amount of them at this point was a first gen srt-4 believe it or not. It’s so difficult to make a turbo car feel raw, the exhaust gets nerfed having to travel back through the turbo usually sounds bad/boring and boost is usually annoying and not very fun to beat on like NA is. Mods can save a lot of cars and make them fun again. It’s difficult to buy factory cars that are exciting. GTS I’ve heard is very similar to gt4 so I think you’ll be happy.

You will love the 718 GTS manual. It’s like owning a classic car. I love my Boxster 25 manual. You may need to get a better exhaust because the OEM is tepid. 992 is too big for me personally and I find the PDK to be a bore.
