Hey everyone. Need some help and to see if anyone else here has had the same problem. I recently had a yellow check engine light come on and the dealer found that my radiator fans were jammed with small pebbles. The backstroy here is that I live on a dirt road, and the super sticky P Zeros grab loose stones when I drive on it and throw them around the wheelwell. The problem is that there are vents between the radiators and the wheel wells and the stones thrown around end up in the radiator cowl and jam. Both we jammed at 5000km on my 718 new GTS.
I could drive slower so they don’t get thrown around. But I drive it at under 5kph as-is and still hear stones getting thrown around the wheel well. One idea I have is to get a body shop to attach screens over the slits, allowing air to pass through but not stones. Another is replace the tires with less sticky rubber, like MPS4 A/S.
There are any number of firms supplying custom fit mesh covers for the rear quarter vents. You can even buy it on a roll and cut it yourself. A quick Google search will identify a retailer in your part of the world.
Don’t bother changing the rubber. The Pirelli’s are no more sticky than any other comparable road tyre
get some aluminum mesh that is smaller than the current grids and rivet to the liner. You can even use something like this, though there are companies that sell finer mesh grill screens too, for a lot more money:

I did this mod a decade ago on my 997RS, that car has a huge opening in the fender liner with no screen at all, at least porsche now puts some type of protection in the liner but its still not great. On the 997 cars it was really common a rock would get thrown into the back of the radiator on track. I used that HD screen and used some zip ties and it's still there, and never had an issue, the upside is less rubber pebbles in the radiator space too.
