Mine came in yesterday as well. Pops told me the box was a bit beat up, but the pipes looked great (well packaged). No additional tariff charges from UPS, which honestly surprised me a bit since the Schwartzwald cuckoo clocks we sent home had tariffs collected on them when they were delivered (maybe the diminimus rule still??).

Can't wait until January when I'm back home and can install!

I have been driving my car with the alibaba OAPs and after about a day or so it seems the pipes have settled in and are sealed better now.

Immediately after install it sounded like there wasn't a perfect seal in the exhaust or maybe the heat shielding needed to be heat cycled no idea but it just seems better now.

Either way the OAPs make the GT4 absolutely scream old school GT3 style now.

This should be a mandatory mod for all GT4 owners that want what some refer to as the "raw" feel of older porsches.

I am convinced all the people that have ever argued the 981 is "more raw" were mistaken. I think the 981 just doesn't have a GPF restricting the flow like all porsches made in the past 5 or so years do. With the GPF delete the 718 feels so much rawer now it can probably be attributed to most of what made the 981 more raw AND some. This mod also cuts the 99lb weight difference of the 981 gt4 and the 718 gt4 to 88lbs(3050lbs vs 3138lbs).

Also a side note, i checked on a couple AI websites and they seem to think the US spec GT4s either don't have the GPF material in the housing or they more correctly say it is fake and doesn't do anything BUT it does mimic the restrictive flow and backpressure of a real GPF. So US spec GPF does 0 as far as filtering gasoline particulate. My OEM OAP with GPF looked like a giant honeycomb inside like a catalyc converter. I had no idea it did nothing in US spec cars until today. Even happier i removed it now.

TLDR: The 4 liter absolutely goes SUPERSONIC when you smash the gas with the OAP mod. Best money you can spend on the car. Just do it.

Mine will be here May 2nd, should have them installed the following week. Is the only update the OAPs or did you also add a mod to keep your exhaust valve always open?

I only added the OAPs. I won't do the valve mod after this, the car is more than loud enough for me.

Valve controller + OAP is a great, low cost combo. Add JCR titanium exhaust to the back and it begins to really sing.

Unfortunately, it looks like these are no longer available to ship to the US. I can see that they have 49 available, but says not available to ship to your region (I’m in Chicagoland)…

Same here, guess it’s time to gut the OEM OAPs?

And another shipper slapped on some import charges:

LOL. What does the tool tip state when hover over the question mark by the import charges? Charging like that will guarantee they get 0 sales moving forward

125% tariff on all Chinese imports. "Charging like that will guarantee they get 0 sales moving forward" ....which is the objective

Start a new thread. This could be interesting, although I expect now with the 125% tariffs in place the shipping will be in the $1000 range. Maybe not. Canadians will fare much better

That muffler with the PSE valves and X-Pipe looks interesting. Anyone recognize which design was copied for this?

Just installed the OAPs today and driving it for about 30 minutes...sounds a lot better. I also have the Car Graphics Valve controller and tested with values always open and then using just the Sport exhaust button on. There is quite a sound difference and it's much better with the Valves always open

See if I can get some sound clips soon.
