I checked the email again from my SA, and the two boxsters lock in November for a late December or Early January for delivery. It can happen quickly... it can also sit in Emden for a while. My 911 sailed through it all and from production end to delivery was about 1.5 months.

It's nice to dream that things could get back to pre-COVID again, but those days are over. Hey, if we could go back to 2021, I wouldn't have paid $102K for a freaking base Cayman. Ha ha.

I did get my 992 exceptionally fast, no delays whatsoever. It was post Covid and during the chip crisis, but somehow I sailed right on through. I only got one key which was my only hiccup. I do believe my SA is giving me the dates on his screen but is most likely optimistic.

Do you get track your dreams (TYD) with the 718's?

Yep, but dates are ridiculously pessimistic, so that doesn't help either. Ha ha. My SA date is early Nov, and TYD date is mid Feb '25, so it's going to be in-between. I'm guessing Dec, but we'll see.

Hey, I was referring to more recent deliveries, like maybe 3 months back. Sorry for not specifying that. But yes, it used to be much quicker in the past.

It’s all relative. Nothing has changed when it comes to unexpected delays in ones timeline provided to them with their commission number. Back then, I was considered lucky, others waited 4-6-8+ months for a slew of different reasons. I was in disbelief with regards to the timeline I was provided until I saw here in the flesh.

Zuff cars typically took 5-7 days. Osna cars been taking 15-20. So yes, on average taking 2 weeks more. Once exiting production timelines same, excluding port strikes or EPA cert.

There have always been production, port, and other delays for some unlucky cars.

Biggest change is TYD. Recent addition that adds date ranges adds more perception of length. On time cars will be biased toward the earliest dates.

My 2021 and 2024 718s have all met the PSVMS timelines. Have a Cayenne on a boat and it was same…all on time.

That's what I've seen lately too -- sadly, my CGTS4.0 has been in production for just over a month so far.

Started AUG 23 and initially scheduled to complete on SEP 6 (would've been exactly 2 weeks)

...but got revised to SEP 9
...then SEP 10
...then SEP 18
...then SEP 27, which is this upcoming Friday 🤞

Fool me twice, shame on me. I had to hide the Porsche app away in a folder because I was refreshing the thing multiple times per day.
