Colored seat belts?
Hi all, newb here. Great forum, would love opinion on something.
I have a Cayman GTS on order, AGM with chalk interior. Thinking about Bordeaux seatbelts for a splash of color. Any reactions to this?
I think it could be cool and make the chalk interior a bit more sporty. But could also be cringe.
Thanks for any and all opinions!

It's a personal choice, if you think it will look good then go for it! It will match the calipers so why not.

Im a fan of colored seatbelts. My Python Green GT4 had the Lizard green seat belts and i loved them. My incoming Boxster is Aventurine Green and i specced it with Beige seatbelts to add some contrast to the inside.

Sorry, but 'cringe' for me. If anything, I'd go with chalk. I also ordered chalk/black full leather interior, but left seat belts black, as chalk might stain over time. But like others said, order the car the way you want it.

Intermediate
GT Silver GTS with alcantara seats and full black leather interior over here (also the back of the 18-way seats).
I added the silver seatbelts.

I have lizard green belts in one car and racing yellow belts in another. I love them.

Again it's personal preference. It's become a thing among Porsche enthusiast to add a splash of color to their vehicle via seat belts. I say do what you want, it will make you smile and when someone goes to purchase down the road, they may not understand at first, but if they do their research they will and it won't be a problem. enjoy!

If you like it, do it. Simple as that.

I think it looks fine. They don't clash or anything. If you like them, get them. Don't be so shy and risk adverse. Porsche lets customers order cars to their personal preferences. I believe in taking advantage of that.

I've never had colored seatbelts, aside from add-on harness belts, but will have them on my ordered BGTS 4.0 because they're part of the GTS interior package I wanted. With a choice of red or chalk I went with red because it will coordinate with the brake calipers, add some pop to the black interior on a Vanadium Grey car and because I was a little concerned that the chalk belts would show grime too easily.
