Can you use standard 5000 and then get the frame extensions for longer cars (if really needed) ? Lift capacity of 5000 should be plenty for a Macan.
This sounds like the smartest move. Here is a pic of my 5000tl standard sized. You have to position the QJ a little more towards the rear because of that jack point location.
I would rather buy the 7000-TL which is the same length as the 5000-TL but can handle more weigh.
I'm am just wondering if I buy the 7000-TL, it looks like a bit short to lift a Macan

If you don't want to store the QJ's under the car while not in use then the 7000 is a smart move.
I think it will be okay with the wheels modification. Although I will use the quickjack 10 times in a year only.
It's just if for any reason I decide to buy the Macan EV in 3 years, I would rather not to buy a new set of quickjack
btw the 7000-TL will fit the 718 but if I want to lift my Macan, the maximum lift point spread is 160cm (63").
It means the lift points will not be fully standing on the pads because the maximum lift point spread of the 7000-TL is 152cm (60")
I would like to hear someone lifting a 718 and a Macan with the same quickjack. 🙂
I have a 7000TL. The fit is great and I use the smaller of the supplied blocks. Using the smaller of the supplied blocks, I think there is only 2-3 cm of space to position them around.
This is what they look like at full extension. I used to change the OAPs on my GT4 and it made life so much easier.
However, they are HEAVY to move. I got them to lift my GT4 and a X3 M40i (haven't tried it on this one yet).
The TLX fits fine. I wanted the flexibility to lift various cars, including my Evo, so the extended model was a must for me. If you position it properly there are zero issues; at worst the front tires will contact the frame as it comes up, but it's not dramatic - and that's avoidable if you move the frames back a touch.
I agree the 7000 is overkill FWIW, even for the Macan. The 5000 are 85lb or so per ramp so they're non-zero effort to move around (I have mine vertically wall mounted and lift them off then roll into place). I'm assuming the 7000 are heavier. My other points to know:
-If yours will live on the floor, you can install small spherical wheels underneath to make it easy to roll them around while flat on the ground - however the clearance to the 718 lift points, depending on your ride height, will be minimal at that point:
