That’s very nice - but if I may ask, why?

2 reasons before Bob has an aneurism and bans me for not owning a Boxster anymore:

1) I have two kids in college and I was tired of the mental gymnastics of justifying a $100k+ sports car to use as a daily driver, and
2) I can fit my dog in it.

I'll be looking at another P car in exactly 4 years to sit in the garage and only be used for sports car things. I miss my Boxster terribly already, but this Acura will keep me occupied until then.

Oh boy, I really fear coming to the same conclusion at some point. I just got mine and I LOVE this car. But I know there are times when I need a backseat and it will be mental gymnastics and swapping cars with my wife to make it all work. It's all worth it, for now. I'm definitely not giving up the car for the dog!

For me it wasn't even close. The car never stood a chance.

You guys are selling. I just brought this baby home, 2022 Boxster 25. Carrera white with the red interior. Manual. I sold my 2018 C4S last year and I'm glad to be back in a manual Porsche after 10 months with a 2023 BMW M440i convertible. I have a 2022 V90 CC for utilitarian duties including transporting my retriever and my bicycles. Spouse has her own car.
This Boxster is not a car I would sell at least for a few years. Hahaha.

I love my varmint dog and my varmint children as well...........even in todays crazy car market you can get a decent 4 door commuting appliance for less than 15k. I make the varmint clan ride in my focus!

That is a beautiful Boxster 25. Yeah, don't sell it.

I will be interested in how it compares to your C4S and M440i convertible. Either of those would have been a "smarter" buy for me because they have backseats. Maybe the dog could go in one of those too, but seriously, I'm not putting the dog in my nice car. I sometimes think I should have gotten the M4 vert instead of the BGTS. But I don't think it compares in terms of driving fun. I'm not that into raw power and 0-60 numbers.

Congrats on the Boxster 25. That is a total classic.

Buy a manual, beater Subaru (or any such car). Great inclement weather car and I can fit my three dogs without issue. I think I paid $4,500 for it two years ago and can probably get $4k back if I sell today.

Very nice and I would put money on it that you didn't pay $75k, if anything you probably paid $25-$35k over that.

For now, I still have my 6+ year old Tesla. Given the massive depreciation hit in the last year, it almost makes sense to keep it. But it's still worth around $30K so a bit of an expensive beater car. I'm undecided about what is most cost efficient. We have an SUV in the family, but there will be times when a 2-seater will be inconvenient. Plus, a beater car can keep junk miles off the BGTS.

100k. MSRP was 109. CPO for 3 years, new rear tires. Good deal for me. Thank you.

Thank you. Haven’t had enough seat time in my Boxster but right away (compared to my 2018 C4S) I noticed that the clutch is slightly heavier, shifter has shorter throws, brakes don’t feel as strong but the engine is very vocal in the best way. Obviously no turbo lag. I have sport PASM in the Boxster and it feels slightly stiffer than the standard PASM in the 911. Feels more agile which I love. The 18 way seats seem slightly narrower but I may be imagining it. Interiors are identical.
M440i was much more comfortable and a cruiser with a very strong engine (but silly sounds) and great tranny. It felt like a big car and steering was not good, At center, it had an inch of play when nothing happened. Tight backroads, I didn’t like it but hwy, it was very nice. Not a sports car in any way. It was a nice car but not what I wanted. The Boxster 25 is a modern classic. It really is wonderful but I wouldn’t take it on a long road trip. I’m too old for that.
