I got a chance to stop by my local dealership and though they didn't have any cars to show me, they did let me take the color sample into different lights. Just a disclaimer it's a Samsung camera phone which tends to oversaturate.

Outside in bright direct sunlight

Indoor under less light

Indoor uder dealer florescent lighting

During the oil change, annual inspection, brake fluid flush yesterday I took some photos of the Arctic Grey sample next to my Slate Grey (Y97).
There was a Graphite Blue Targa parked out front so I took a few side-by-side pics of Slate and Graphite next to each other.

Oh man, thanks a bunch for these photos! Your efforts are greatly appreciated. My Chalk vs Arctic (if i get an allocation or else it's probably only chalk since it's easier to find) debate is a tough one!
How did Arctic look in the sun compared to Slate?

Side Note: Slate is an awesome color..

Thanks ^

My original response was removed because my comments on the master cylinder were off topic.
Sorry to the OP for going astray.

Next visit I’ll take the Arctic sample outside for photos in natural light.

Is VW Moonstone grey the same color ? There must be a VW color equivalent somewhere…

I was able to catch a glimpse of arctic grey on a cayenne turbo GT in person this weekend and really like the color, it looks awesome in person! I switched from chalk to this on my build

Looks great! If i get a new allocation I will be in the same boat as you. Chalk vs AG. If i don't end up getting a new one I'll prob settle for Chalk since it will be easier to find.

Any updates?

I recently sold my white 981 CS PDK after falling in love with a GBM I found online and drove it home from Tucson last week....
I was starting to worry a bit as my salesman picked me up at the airport and drove me to the dealership that I would be disappointed once I saw it live and in the flesh, but luckily it was quite the opposite...I was instantly wowed by the color/car and have been ever since....it is such a great color!!!

I was test driving an Agate grey 981 CS 6MT a couple weeks ago at another local dealership and told the salesman about the GBM 718 I was eyeing....He said "dude, don't even hesitate...go NOW and get that graphite blue!" Now I know exactly what he was talking about....glad I took his advice and locked it up

Love how much it can change it's tone depending on where you are and what time of day it is

btw, an S will be plenty of car for you....I got the base 6MT and it feels much fast than my 981 CS already and is plenty of fun.

From Parade in Poconos today. Finally saw the 4RS in person. It’s impressive. Many cool details. I love the Arctic Grey and would order that paint color. It’s a bit more blue than my Slate but still attractive (If one likes grey, and I certainly do).

Slate Grey
