Default April 2022 & 718 Allocation Watch / Reports

This may be a short thread, but IF there are April 2022 allocations for 718 product, let's share the 'good news' and model types that are given among the group.

I'm basing this on the understanding I had back in January that April 2022 'was / is' to be the month of another round of allocations to dealers. (Yes, fully aware of world situations & the wiring harness issues in particular.)

fwiw.... the closest dealer to me has 12 on the allocation wait list. the next closest, where i bought my last cayman s from, has 5. the next closest dealer (2+ hours) has 8 on the wait list. the lone out of state dealer i called, who is in CA and had listed a brand new gt4 as being available but it's not, said they are no longer doing wait lists. they take a list of names and when an allocation opens they call everyone and first to jump gets it, however they are also charging a $40,000 dealer upcharge to any GT4 order...

My local dealer taking GT4 orders from local customers at MSRP, but currently 12 - 15 month approximate wait. As expected, no GT4RS availability for mortals.

After an 8-month wait, I got an allocation for a Spyder! September production and November delivery. MSRP but will have to put $15K in escrow for nine months that I will lose if I sell the car before the nine months are up.

Ok, surely I'm not the only one that thinks this arrangement is insane, right?

It is but I’d rather do that than a straight ADM that I’ll never get back, especially when ADM on average is higher than $15K. I’ve seen ADM up to $50K for non GT cars. Insane and “legalized” racketeering…

Agreed. We don't have ADM in Australia, so this isn't something I need to worry about, but if we did, I'd much rather this arrangement over ADM. Would also help reduce the amount of cars that are bought purely to flip straight away
