Default Thoughts on Full Leather Deviated Seat Centers?

For those that might have seen them in person, or have them, wondering your thoughts on deviated seat centers with two tone leather or full leather interiors? Do they look good in person? I quite like the Spyder Classic Interior, but there is no way to get Alcantara centers on regular 718's unless you do CXX. (I don't want all black interior) Therefore leather centers are an option I am considering and sometimes photos never do justice one way or the other.

Funny, I have your photos that I found on Google on my Ipad currently for reference Do you have any from outside the vehicle showing off the seats through the glass?

I have Black alcantara (aka Race Tek) centers on my Spyder seats (Sport +) so I would trade you for Black leather seat centers if you order them on your car.

I’ve seen it and it looks fantastic, plus you also don’t need to worry as much about dye transfer, etc.

I debated deviated seat centers in my CGTS, but ultimately decided they added too many additional shapes to the interior. I know, I’m nuts.

Not nuts as that is my concern..I keep going back and forth. Love the two tone interior, love the two tone deviated seats, but when together cannot yet determine if that creates sweetness or a mess.

How hard (or easy) is it to remove the seat centers? Mine are Race-Tek but I prefer leather, to match the sides.

Thought about them when ordering 991.2 GTS. Then saw the my dealer. It was a no go for me. Went with standard black/bordeaux and don’t regret it all. I’m glad I saw it cause it’s an intense visual difference and clearly not for me.

Thanks, that is my problem as I keep flipping back and forth. But I really would like to drop some of the red in the Black/Bordeaux interior and this would get that done. Sometimes it seems perfect and sporty (ie the Sypder Classic Interior is the same pretty much visually, although alcantara is softer look) other times just not sure.

I live near brades (Todd) and got to see his car in person to help me decide for my 4.0 GTS order. My first place holder order specified black/bordeaux with deviated black centers but my SA discouraged me from the deviated centers. After seeing Todd’s car, deviated centers is the way I will go unless I order buckets. Would love full buckets in the black/ bordeaux interior with deviated seat centers but the Cxx on that likely would be $$,$$$ with the first digit not being a 1.

Obviously the decision is personal, but on Todd’s Agate Grey GTS the interior in question looks great. Of course, my allocation doesn’t lock for 45 days so there are countless other combinations to consider before lock day. 😁😁😁

Thanks. I have now switched my interior since I posted this to Blue with chalk stitch. Since the interior is all blue, and not two tone, I am more inclined to think the deviated seats would work just as or even better. I would like to break up the blue a bit and I think the deviated seat centres (in chalk) will accomplish that.

I always thought colored leather centers generally ended up looking cheap like you bought 'leather' seat covers from walmart or like a 80s pornstar car, especially if the seats start to wear. It's pretty rare to see one in person but I know I do not like Black porsche interiors with the chalk centers.

I think what it comes down to is if you're going to do centers in a different color you can't pick that 2nd from teh bottom Porsche option with just the inserts and door arm rests in a different color. It doesn't have enough deviation in color to tie it to the entire interior so it looks like an afterthought. You need to pick a full interior of two tone to pull off the look. The racetex chalk/blue 991.2 interior nick murray had is one of my favourite Porsche interior. I also think that Porsche bourdeau/black interior with the black inserts might work might work. I will admit I am a sucker for that interior with the full red seats, but I think it's maybe because that interior has a bit too much bright red leather taht the black inserts work in it. It just tones it down a bit more but doesn't look out of plcae because half the interior no matter where you look is black and red.

But this, I've seen this a lot, and IMO it looks terrible in-person especially when it takes a bit of wear:

I have a black/Bordeaux car on order and I agree that it would be nice to take a little Bordeaux out. Black seat centers seem the perfect solution. But then I see them… I don’t want to criticize but I just can’t. I wonder if getting a black leather interior and adding Bordeaux seat centers is a better solution.

At the end of the day it’s all subjective. As I said earlier I thought the black centers made the interior too busy, and I don’t see all red seats as being overwhelming. After all, it’s a tiny interior, not a huge SUV.
