Default Sport chrono - What is this part?

The part in question

What it plugs into

What faces the windshield/interior

I looked online for the part number but wasn't able to find anything that seemed similar.

That panel is listed as the "Loudspeaker Trim Panel". It looks like that rear plug is a center speaker in the sound system.

Edit:
That part is actually the "Sun Sensor" for the AC system:

Good info. Speaking of the center speaker, I assume to unplug it one must remove the speaker?

If there was a center speaker there - you'd likely have to unplug it to remove it fully. My guess is you'd remove the 3 screws and then the speaker unplugs at the back.

Thanks for the detailed lookup iliveoncaffiene! That was awesome and makes sense for that location - pwr, grnd and 2 data wires. Is this documentation the official docs that require a subscription to access?

Yes, those are official diagrams / documentation.
It's free to sign up / get an account (though not sure how I was able to? I'm not a repair shop). It does require a paid subscription to actually read anything which you pay per hour, day, week, month, or year (I just do $17 for an hour and download all the docs I need. A day is $52).
It also includes wiring diagrams as well (though those are... unwieldy to print out/save).

Speaking of SCs, does anyone know if there is a part# for just a shroud? It would be nice to add one (somehow) to eliminate the reflection on the windshield.
