My 2017 boxster s roof when closed makes squeaking rattle noises around above my head and head rear area. Almost like it’s rubbing on something. But I don’t think it is. Like a fabrics rubbing on each other sound. Is this a to be expected rag top thing?
With my 981 BS I make sure my all seals are maintained especially where the roof contacts the framework. There’s a product called Sonax (made in Germany) which keeps all your seals preserved and squeak free. Amazon carries it or at least used to.
4 years on my Boxster and no roof noises at all. If they did occur I'd use Krytox, which is what VW recommends for their roofs. Very expensive but a little goes a long way.

Krytox is great also. Have that on hand also but I don’t use that on seals.
