Default 10mm or 20mm?

Hi all
I'm ordering a 2022 Boxster GTS 4.0 and it comes with PASM 20mm standard. However, I can (for no charge) get 10mm instead. Which do I want? I'll never track the car and it will be my weekend play car and daily driver about 40% of the time. I don't like the ride on 20" wheels (too rough), but that's my only option. Last question: does the choice (whichever I choose) affect resale in that "everyone wants/expects 20mm (or 10mm or whatever) so if it's not there, resale will suffer? Thanks for sharing your insights.

Only you can answer the question.

The 10mm is more compliant, and I believe the suspension parts are slightly different (sway bars I think). For me the 20mm drop on the GTS is a must have and would be a deal breaker on a used car buy.

If 20” wheels are too rough for you, you should consider whether or not this is the right car for your needs. I just switched from 18” wheels on my winter set to the 20’s that came with the car, and I don’t notice any significant change in the ride quality.

For every Uncle Dude that wouldn’t buy a used car because of the 10 mm drop, there will be someone that wouldn’t buy a car with the -20. Spec it for you, not the next owner.

I have the SPASM 20mm drop and its absolutely fine. The car is very compliant and isnt teeth jarring. The stance is exceptional with the 20mm drop. Up to you but I dont really think there will be much difference in ride quality with either. Get what you want. There will always be a buyer regardless.

How steep is your driveway/curb angle, and do you have to park where there are speedbumps? Something to consider before you go with the -20.
