The wait kinda stinks as if car is on the lot you can drive off. But definitely worth the wait. I am fortunate to have another car to play with during the wait

Definitely worth the wait to get what you want. No sense paying this much only to compromise! I assume the dealer has an allocation, ie, he's not simply promising to order one for your when he does, correct?

By the way, in my opinion, 20% off MSRP should be the high end of what someone should pay for a two model-year-old leftover. (In fact, 15-20% would be a good number on a one-year old "new" car.) Especially when you consider discounts on new B/C's seem to run as high as 8% or 9% in some cases.

I have a commision number with a V200 for vehicle status so I think I am good. I never ordered a new one but from what I read if I have a v200 I am good. My 2014 911 was CPO which I bought 2500 miles from home which was pretty close on how I would order it plus 2 years old with 2300 miles on it. Not sure why original owner bought it put PPF on full hood bumper fenders and mirrors. He did 2 oil changes and only drove it 2300 miles. Made a nice purchase for me though!!!

I'll say!

And yes, it's clear you have an allocation for your new one. Now your June/July estimate sounds like worst case to me. My money's on May! Good luck, and enjoy!!!

I believe V200 means the production and delivery schedule has been determined, and so the dealer should be able to share Porsche's projected delivery date. From my own experience and what I read, that date is very conservative and often beat by a few weeks.

Makers, thanks for the info. I will contact the dealer early April to see status of the build. I will also post some pics.

Which dealer? I'm on Long Island and curious to see what the discount will be here. It's always more money around here. When I bought my GT350 they wanted as much as $10k over MSRP. I bought it from Ohio for $3k UNDER sticker. That's a big swing on a $62k car!

Good luck with the new car! By any chance, are you leasing it? I'm curious as to what the leases are like on these.
