Default Lava Orange 718 S -- Drool worthy IRL!

Was out hiking with the wife today and saw a lava orange 718 S parked in the parking lot. It looks just beautiful. I mean, a rolling work of art beauty. Even my wife, who really doesn't get why I love sports cars to begin with loved the color. I am happy with my white 718 S. But damn, whoever owns lava orange, well done!

I find that the Caymans and 911s do well with Jellybean style colors. Its hard to find a color which does the car poorly.

I agree, my 991.2 was Lava orange and I loved it.

This is the only color I find risky...

Lava orange looks more like salmon under most light conditions, IMHO. Much prefer pastel orange:

As an owner can confirm. Guards red is what I should have ordered.

We miss our lava Boxster very much. And I agree, when it’s dirty, it takes on a pinker hue for some reason. And when I took photos of it clean many times it looked like guard red.

I entered into the buying process pretty determined to get a GT Silver and was talked out of it by my wife who fell in love with a Miami Blue BGTS. There isn't a day that goes by without one or many people gushing over the vibrant color. I'd say that Lava Orange will rock it the same way.

Lava has red in it, which why it takes on salmon or pink hues in certain lighting. It’s definitely a red orange.

I love my Carmine Red, but Miami Blue was very tempting. I originally wanted Lava but as noted it takes on a Salmon hue a little too much. Now if it had the GT3 orange, whatever that shade that is called, I'd probably have chosen that over the Carmine.

This Techart Lava Orange 718 S is still one of my favourite looking cars. Contrasts really nice with the black carbon.
