2019 718 GTS - Real Value
Would you mind sharing what you are seeing or have been given as discounts for these models? Would appreciate it.
I am hearing that 10% off the MSRP is a starting point.

It's a fantastic car!!!! You will love it.
When I was shopping recently, I did not find a new GTS that was equipped the way I wanted. I did manage to get a couple of dealers down to 15% off on new left over 2019 BS, but they also offered too little for my trade and I am not sure they would have honored the pricing if I didn't trade. I then jumped on a like new 2019 BGTS , with 2450 miles and over 4 years of remaining warranty with the CPO, for about 20% off MSRP; it turned out to be apparently perfect, better than new (having a prepaid 2-year service, PPF and front grills), and the trade offer was acceptable (if just a little painful) to me. It feels like a brand new car (even if someone else broke it in, which I guess is a cloud with a silver lining). It is missing upgraded headlights (as are many GTS for some reason), but otherwise had exactly what I wanted.
I know some here will argue that car was not worth the price; maybe not to them, but it was to me, and that's my point. If you try harder and are a little more flexible, I bet you could squeeze another $5-7k out of a CPO deal (and certainly a used, non-CPO).
without even asking for discount, the local dealer was giving me a price that is roughly around 20% off its MSRP.
I am sure I could have worked it out to get more discount.
and this is from Los Angeles area so I am sure other dealers in other areas are as willing to let these cars go for significant discount.
btw, it was for a 19 CGTS with $95k MSRP. brand new.
also looked at another car, 19 BGTS with 104k msrp, with 2k miles, CPO, asking $73k, offered $70k, but declined as car just came into their inventory.
it still was a great deal at $73k obviously, and car sold within a week.
1. When I say "start at 10% off" what I really mean is "don't accept less than 10% off." I am not suggesting a particular negotiating strategy (which might involve starting out by offering 20% off, for example).
2. I would say, "time and place." People will tell you they got this or that deal, or were offered this or that deal. If you get a thrill out of getting the best possible deal, fine. Personally, I would settle for "good enough" if it gets you what you want, instead of waiting for ever for "perfect."
Edit: I would add this: we are talking about cars that have, at the outside 50-150 potential appropriate vehicles available to you nationally, and these cars are all equipped differently. We are not talking about Toyotas or Hondas in the sense that a single large dealer might have that many cars on their own lot, most equipped identically. This is not a comment on sales success on way or another, but rather a comment on what's available for you to choose. So, the point is, you don't have infinite opportunities at any given moment to forgo one deal and move on to the next.

Dealers will try to unload these 4cyl GTS before 4.0s arrive they will offer good bit of discount whether or not you ask for one.
time wise this is a perfect time to pick one up at a great price and they are going quick no matter how much people bashing on the car being 4 banger
act quick look around where possible i'm sure you'll find one you like with good discount.
