Default Brought home my 718 Cayman S yesterday

First of all thanks for all the feedback from the members who chimed in on the PPI and other newbie questions I had during my search. Well after the PPI checked out I drove 4.5 hours in a one-way rental to pickup the car. There was some rain on the trip down so I was hoping that it would clear up as I got closer and fortunately it did. I was not disappointed at all and the owner was very cool and had taken very good care of the car for his 15 months of ownership. The 30k service was done just 3 months ago and a new clear bar was redone on the nose and mirrors and the windows were already tinted nicely. Best of all the CPO is still in effect until 2023. The car is a 2017 manual with 35k miles spec'd the way I would have built it. I gave it a quick bath today after bugs littered the front end on my drive back last night, but I will give it a full detail and plasti dip the 718 Cayman S emblem on the back this weekend. I like the exhaust note but may consider a cat-back soon just to get more noise. Will order the clear corner markers tonight.

This is a fun car that gets up to speed in a hurry and feels like 55 when you are doing 75, so I'll have to watch my speed for sure. Its funny that my last P-Car was a 1987 944 in the late 90's and the leather smell in the 718 is nostalgic and smells the same. Porsche did a great job on the 718!

Enjoy your great looking car. Do as I do, use the cruise control then waive at the cops as you pass them.

I will do that if I don't accidentally hit the signal light...LOL. Driving it home on the interstate I could not get use to the location of the cruise control stalk. I kept hitting the signal light when trying to adjust it. Just need more seat time which will happen all weekend.

Great car! Congrats. There is something about how these look in red that is so perfect. Better than other brand’s reds.

So true and on a sunny day the guards red just pops.
