Default more power needed.....cobb tune?

Hello All. I have a 2018 718 Boxster GTS PDK. Does anyone have the Cobb Tune? If so is there a seat of the pants difference? Thanks

APR has a better tune if your not planning to place car on dyno

My 718 Boxster S was estimated at 405-410 rear wheel hp

I did have Fabspeed Supercup 1 sided 3" exhaust system with 200cel cat and BMC air filer when the APR tune was flashed

Either Cobb or APR. If you're the type that likes to see data and flash between different tunes, get the Cobb. If you're more the set and forget, get the APR. That said, APR is working on a home flashing solution, but it'll be at least a few months before that would come out.

I also have a 2018 Boxster GTS and got the APR tune. It definitely is a worthwhile improvement.

Thanks for your replies. Do you have any issues with servicing the car at the dealer?

No. I had the tune done towards the end of 2019, and since then had the second annual service, with no problems. In fact, when I was considering getting the tune, I asked the shop foreman at my dealer what he thought about the reliability of an APR tune, and he spoke highly of APR's track record with tuning VW's.
