Default GTS 2.5, PASM and PTV

I'm interested in moving up to a GTS 2.5.

So PASM(10mm) is standard on a 2.5 GTS. What about PTV?

I've read the brochure and searched here for many hours but I just can't tell.

Thank you.

You just got yours, did something happen to it?

I love my GTS, but I don’t think I’d recommend switching from the base unless you can get a great deal or money isn’t that much of a thing to you. There’s not much more that a GTS offers that a base simply can’t. If you don’t have pasm I’d imagine you could put some coil overs or something on. Apr tune if you’re trying to go faster.

I just don’t want to see you fall into the trap of always looking forward to the next one. I’m sure your base amazing and you should love it

My base was totaled in an accident a couple of weeks ago.

So I’ve got the insurance check and some money to put with it. I was pleasantly surprised at what they gave me for the car.

Thanks for for the replies and information!

But the deals on the 2.5 are too good to pass up.

I found the GTS to be much faster and more responsive than base. Love my 2018 Boxster GTS. Plus, add APR=442 HP! Not sure if this is relevant, but PASM Sports Suspension option is 20mm lower.

The best car isn't a Porsche. I don't have half a million for a car. How can I be happy when I overextend myself and buy a car I can't afford?

The lighter car, with more torque early in the power band is the better car. Also will have a lower price. Opinions will always differ and what makes one person happy won't necessarily make another person happy.

Does the 718 GTS come with a limited slip differential as standard equipment?

Thanks

PTV comes with mechanical LSD so yes, 718 GTS comes with PTV/LSD as standard equipment. It was optional on 981 GTS.

For tight mountain roads the PTV/LSD is very useful with driving close to the limit, particularly accellerating out of uphill hairpins or tight corners.

For street use I don't think the PTV/LSD is really necessary.

Do you think there is any advantage to LSD in Autocross?

For sure!

And I bet PTV will help a lot too.
