Default 718 Allocations in US

What's the latest word on getting a 718 T/S/GTS allocation in the US? Last I heard 718 T allocations are available now, but S and GTS 4.0 won't be available until later. Is this still the case?

When I ordered my base in early January i could have ordered a T or an S. Not sure on the 4.0 and pretty sure it was a no on the GTS.

Any day now. I've been talking with a S FL dealer the last few weeks. I almost went in on a GT4 allocation last week, but the GTS is the better fit for me (I like to put lots of miles on cars) and the $10k ADM just widens the gap. I'll report in once I'm able to get a slot.

Let us know if your dealer asks for an ADM on the GTS 4.0

Ditto.....

Dealing with Porsche dealers in SoFL is like paying poker with someone else's marked deck. Do some calling around!

It’s weird how dealers work it differently… JBSea gave a deposit for a demand order to be in line for an allocation. I sent my dealer an email with my build, he put in a demand order, and he called me about 3 weeks later and said he had an allocation. I went there, gave a modest deposit, and he gave me the allocation & commission info with progression dates. Then I walked out.

Two very different experiences.

Sent my dealer that sold me my Targa asking about a Boxster GTS allocation and he said he had one that was just cancelled- so I took that allocation for my wife’s new car.

Then a few days later I sent the porsche dealer closer to my home and where I service my Targa about a GT4 allocation and he said they have one from a cancellation as well.

now I have a GTS Boxster and a GT4 on order within several weeks with just two emails. So I wonder if this hype about how hard it is to get GTS and GT4 allocations is all genius marketing hype engineered by Porsche’s marketing people.

I asked for a $2,000 discount on the GTS and the dealer said fine instantly.

lucky or the noise about scarcity of allocations is noise?

Lucky - there are lots of people here looking for allocations, especially those with the 4.0 engines...GT4s & Spyders are the hardest to get.

I had a similar experience. I live in the greater Los Angeles area, and at the very end of April I decided I wanted a Cayman GTS. I called the closest dealer to me, they didn't have an allocation. I called the second closest dealer and they offered me a GT4 instead which I passed on. Called the 3rd closest dealer and they told me they should have something for me in a couple of days. 4 Days later I get a call back and I've got a V200 allocation for a 2022 for October Delivery.

Hopefully everyone who is looking is able to get one!

I agree with Bob Z. What he describes has been my experience so far and talking to 4 "local" dealers in two states and no allocations at all.

I'm considering a Cayman GTS now and was wondering about allocation. Just so I'm clear, you are talking about getting your new 2022 GTS in October 2021, right? That doesn't sound too bad (aside from losing the summer, but there will be another summer next year. lol)

Well, I was told today that they have no allocation info, but that I may be the lucky winner and be given the opportunity to pay them $100k by December. Maybe. (Cayman GTS 4.0).
Crazy first world problems.
