New BGTS Day!

New BGTS Day!
So, my journey in Porsche-land has once again taken another turn. As a youngin' I was ruined on cars from an early age having a bevy of choices throughout the years (American muscle, German fare, Japanese rockets, hulking diesels, the entire gamut). All hard earned myself, no old family money (darn it!), basically a lot of work...and these have been my reward. 914, 928S4, 968, 981, 981S and now the 982 GTS. I had initially planned on getting a 982S when it launched, Porsche invited me to their 718 Playground event last year and I had a blast hooning the various models around the track until their tires were completely shredded. I simply loved the car. The handling was sublime. The acceleration was much more immediate and rapid than my 981S. I was just about to take the one I had set aside home...until I heard it. Boy, I was so disappointed. Hugely so. It was a big letdown. Coming from a Borla equipped 981S, I was used to a raucous and lively (albeit not always neighbor friendly) exhaust note experience that I did not think I was going to find in the new 982.
Folks, I'm here (I know this sounds a LOT like a therapy session. HA!) to acquiesce my defeat. I was wrong. Porsche, once again has taken me into the loving embrace of Alcantara and 18 way sport seats, cradling me in a crib of performance and technological innovation...all whilst hurtling me towards the horizon like a comet. Once again, I'm in love. Reunited, and it feels SO good.
Here she is!
My muse
And for those playing along...pretty well optioned above a base GTS specs (so I won't go through those). Here's the adds:
PASM
PDK
Heated Multi-function wheel
Nav
Bose
Porsche Connect Plus
18 way sport seats
Instrument dials, and sport chrono in white
Premium Package Plus
Aluminum Look Fuel Cap
Clear side markers (a MUST)

Congrats! The new edition is way better; sound included. As a previous 981 GTS owner, the rumble of that 6 isn’t as fantastic as people make it out to be. It ain’t a GT car for sure; and it ain’t a C63, GT350, Hellcat, etc. Not sure what the fuss is. One thing is for certain, the previous generation was underpowered; a fault which the 718 addressed even in the base model...

In all seriousness though, I think they got it right in this instance. Yes, it's no wailing flat 6...but I have REALLY come to like it....it's just different. YMMV.

Nice! Any more pictures from other angles, including with the top up/closed?

Excellent, thank you very much! Would you happen to have any more pictures taken in broad daylight (more direct sun)?

I got these in before the gloom set in. (S, not GTS, and went black & red leather inside, but similar enough for picture's sake?)
I lived up by EDH for 4 years (technically Folsom). You've a lot of great back roads to choose from out there!

Great looking whip Wine.o! Thanks for the assist. It's been rather foggy when it's not raining...so there's been little opportunities to get pics. We're out in Napa all the time (most of my good friends live there), and we are plugged into the wine industry pretty well...we should meet up sometime and hoon through 121/128
