Default 20" stock rear wheels width

Looking at the info box for the 20" Carrera S IV alloy wheels on the configurator, when building a 718, reveals the following:
  • 8.5 x 20 ET 49 with 245/35 ZR 20 tires (front)
  • 11.5 x 20 ET 76 with 305/30 ZR 20 tires (rear)
While the fronts make sense, the rear appears too wide. The configurator shows the same specs for the other 718 20" options. Is Porsche simply using the same face design as the 20" 911 wheels on a narrower profile wheel, and they just failed to revise the specs on the 718 configurator page?

Most after market options I've come across, for 19" wheels, are 10-10.5" wide on the rears...

I just purchased this baby and I think the images are high-enough resolution that you could tell from the pictures....

Yeah, looks like you have the 911 measurements.

This is what it says in the 718 catalogue for standard wheels:

Standard wheels Front: 8 J x 18 ET 57, Rear: 9.5 J x 18 ET 49, Front: 8 J x 19 ET 57, Rear: 10 J x 19 ET 45
Standard tyres Front: 235/45 ZR 18, Rear: 265/45 ZR 18, Front: 235/40 ZR 19, Rear: 265/40 ZR 19

718 GTS catalogue with 20" Carrera S wheels:

Standard wheels Front: 8 J x 20 ET 57, Rear: 10 J x 20 ET 45
Standard tyres Front: 235/35 ZR 20, Rear: 265/35 ZR 20

Now that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification!

The optional 20" 911 Turbo Wheels or 20" Carrera Sport Wheels are: 8.5 J x 20 ET 57, Rear: 10.5 J x 20 ET 47.

So they aren't as wide as the configurator says (which uses the 911 dimensions), but they are wider than the Carrera S wheels that come standard on the GTS.

Ok that's interesting. So according to your figures the 20" Carrera Sport Wheels when compared to the 20" Carrera S will stick out another 6mm at the front and 4mm at the back.

I did get the impression that the Carrera Sport wheels did have a slightly better stance. Although personally I'd probably go for GT4 wheels over the Carrera S if I was upgrading.
