New 718 discounts?

Hey All - just started my search for a 718. Local dealer gave me 8% off a new 2018 718 S over email and 7% off a 2018 new GTS.
Seeing several nicely equipped 2017 CPO "launch" 718 Ss for about 20% off MSRP and sub 6K miles. These cars all had $85K+ MSRPs. Anything I'm missing with these launch cars? You get the CPO, almost no miles, all well optioned and save another $10K off of buying new.

As a point of reference I bought a 2017 Boxster base launch car in March with 9,100 miles for 29% less than MSRP. No CPO but still has about 2 yrs left on warranty.

Hi All,
This is my first foray into the Porsche world.
Here's a build for a 2019 178 Cayman base that I am planning to order for commuting and autocrossing in SCCA A Street (so the S and GTS are out): http://www.porsche-code.com/PKS8Q3Q8
What can I realistically expect in terms of discount for an ordered car (in San Diego)?
Thanks!
John

Best I could get last month in the SF Bay Area was 3.8% off. Maybe I suck at negotiating, though.

I'm in the market for a 2019 Boxter GTS and put down a deposit for a new GTS special build with euro delivery last week @ Porsche (San Jose). I minimally tried to negotiate but sales manager mentioned no discounts for porsches ( I was ignorant to believe him).
Thankfully I read these forums this week and got a 2% written from Porsche Fremont today.
Now I'm going to ask the Porsche GTS to match a 3% offer or I'm taking my business elsewhere.
I'm also curious which what the other dealers have to offer (Burlingame and Redwood city).

Hi Sobiloff, which dealer in the SF bay area did you get the 3.8% and was this off the LOT or a 2019 special build?
