They still work great. Have you seen my thread on the subject?

Same here. Put mine in a couple weeks after I saw Fabio's thread. Love them. Lots of rice, but hey, that's my gig. Triple gauge pod on A-pillar to match. All working fine.

How was the fit when installing those gauges? Did they fit correctly right out of the package, or did they require any kind of trimming or modifying to have them fit and look right?

I like the black background with the lighted green or blue font. I was thinking of doing this for the Tach and Speedometer, and then replacing the side gauges with nexus. Or doing it all in nexus.

They come with a remote control and run a "demo" to show off the movement of your gauges.......um, ok.

Yes. Quite ricey. I knew you would say something.

The thing is, is that the newer cars today all do this now, including the corvette - meaning you start up the car and everything full sweeps and lights up. Its cool if its subdued enough.

The cost is quite high. 200 a gauge, plus 200 or more for the "black box"

The Electronic dash that you can hook up with the haltech, etc ECUs will give all that info in one screen.

I would like something slick looking.

They do look cool. It seams like the added cost is for the data logging built into them. I would rather have simple gauges and stick with the Innovate boxes for data logging.

Mine have held up well. Only complaint is they're a little dim. Apparently Speedhut has a uprated converter I could swap out to juice it up.

The Speedhut ones are still working flawlessly since 2002 on the 79. Remote mount switch on mine controls the blue or green and has a rheostat. For the thread on Speedhut from 2002https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...installed.html

Last I looked they didn't have the '78 layout which has the side gauges 90° off from what was used in the later years. Looks neat, but the enhancements I made to the original are holding up well.

I bought the uprated converter at my initial purchase. They are nowhere near dim. I have them set at about 40% brightness.
