Default Test drove 09 911 Targa 4s- Awesome

1) The AWD on Targa made it seem like it was on rails even with the roads being damp with light rain, I felt very confident
2) The sales guys who is very friendly, opened the roof on a damp day and cranked up the heat, it felt very good almost convertible like with very little wind coming into the car, with the sun roof closed and the new mesh closed he was saying very very little light comes into the car on a bright sunny day. With the mesh retracted back there was lot of light in the car, nice
3) The Taga 4s with PASM on Normal was very comfy and it is more pliant than 4s COUPE in Normal mode due to softer suspension BUT it still handled great

I was considering a 4s COUPE but now I am thinking of a Targa in white or silver

The 4s is too expnesive so may have to get the regular Targe 4 in PDK and PASM with 18" wheels

The Targa AWD is an absolute sloth. Why would you go Targa?

what makes me a troll? presenting an unpopular opinion that those with thousands of posts (and too much time on their hands) disagree with?

rather than resorting to flinging personal insults at someone you dont know, why not instead debate me on the merits? isnt that what a discussion board is for, after all?

Not everybody likes to ride around all day with their hair on fire in sport buckets and the PASM in full track mode ( although I do I must admit ). I always thought the Targa was very visually appealing and offered a little more convenience with the roof/hatchback. But for a little more there's the Turbo and for some amount less you can get a C2S with the sports suspension/sport chrono which is an absolute blast from what I hear. That's the great thing about the 911 though. Something for everybody.

OK, so here's a vote for the Targas. Understandably not everyone's cup of tea, but I find it a great car. So there. And, there aren't a kazillion of them out there.

I haven't done it, since I don't golf much. But I am sure you could. The rear hatch is a nice convenience not offered by the coupes.

The Targa has the Bose subwoofer in the passenger footwell just like the cabs, thus freeing up some space behind the rear seatbacks.
