Advice on offer CPO 997 please
Please forgive such a bold question from a newbie, but I'm right on the cusp of getting a 997.
I think I have found a car in Charlotte (1.5 hours from my home) that meets my needs.
It is linked here:

Would any experienced members here be kind enough to suggest a price I should offer for this car?
Thanks!!! Cheap Guy

Cheap Guy.......................it appears to be a C2 and not a C2S; is that correct?
IF so, I have seen people paying around that price for C2S with Power Seats and the other options listed.
I did just buy a brand new C2S with a few more bells and whistles and they dealt with me (I was able to make a super deal)................send an PM and I will give you some other info about how to figure out where the car is priced.
Are you dealing with anyone there yet? I will lead you to my salesperson and help you work a little on the price with them.

I bought a similarly equipped CPO'd car for $65k 8 months ago. Mine had 9500 miles -- so this has fewer miles. My guess is that the price should be significantly south of the asking price. $60K, maybe high $50s.

Cheap Guy, check your PMs.............

Well, good to know the value of the car is holding up. I was extrapolating from the cost of '05s last year. Checking around for current selling prices is a good idea, Cheapo. I also found that it helped to look at non-CPO cars and trade-in values to figure out reasonable margins for the dealer. The main goal is to avoid getting ripped off, without blowing too much time and effort in the buying process. FYI -- the car I bought had a sticker of $74K. So, there is sometimes room for significant movement from the asking price on used cars, as with new ones.

Oh no , not even close.
I bought the car but I'm not saying how much because you guys will laugh my newbie @ss off the board.
I will say Hendrick bought the car at Mannheim for $63,972 (info from a source in Texas) , so to get it for high 50s would be difficult.
My wife is picking it up tomorrow, assuming the sport seats suit her.
Again, thanks for everone's help, esp the luuuunie-tune!

yeah, to be honest, i would have been very surprised if you could have done better than $65 for something with such low miles. sometime the posters on renn seem to suggest prices that seem unattainably low.
enjoy you new baby!
