Default Found Nice Tire Rack

Hey guys and gals,

I found these tire racks while Google Surfing.
http://www.martinsindustries.com/pne...ireDisplay.php

See any faults with this type of unit in the garage. Mobility is a must have for me.

This is the Tire Display. I talked to the N America sales rep. and was quoted $210.00 per unit. I think this is a good value. Shipping is the only downside to buying one unit.
Shipping $210.00 for 1 - 5 units. Freight not UPS.

If anyone would be interested in buying one of these we could have them shipped to my business and I could bring them to Road Atlanta CR or if you are local you come to the office and pick it up.

At $252.00 for this volume of storage w/casters I'm all in. This is not a group buy, this is a group ship. :

PM if you want the sales rep Tel#.

This thread might have some usefull info on the Tire Rack rack. https://rennlist.com/forums/racing-and-drivers-education-forum/409055-anybody-use-these-pics-inside-griot-s-wheel-storage-hangers.html

I need more storage and want to be able to easily move them around.

The Tire Display. The one with casters and Logo attachment. These are commercial units so I suspect the quality is quite good. The guy told me they are heavy.

If we get five people to split the shipping the price is pretty damn good for a unit that will store up to 16 tires.

Edit: I'd pay up to $300.00 for a unit. That 3 people.

I made this one a while back, has a shelf on the bottom for nitrogen bottle, jacks, and stands. Works good, if I was bringing it to the track regularly I'd upgrade to larger casters with pneumatic tires. I built tireracks inside our new trailer so it mostly stays in the garage now.

I just ordered one of these today.
If it works out nice, I'll order a second one.
I'll report back later.

Randy, I'd be in to buy one, but I'm not going to the Road Atlanta club race. Any thoughts on how to get mine to NJ and still save on shipping?

I wish I did but sadly no. Maybe someone you know is coming down and could bring it back to you. I can give you the sales reps tel #. The units come from Canada so maybe shipping to NJ is not so bad.

If you come up w/any ideas let me know, I'm hoping to devide the shipping at least by 3.

I wish you were coming to RA also. You could install my graphics. I have been sorting out other little things on my car so these have been back burnered for now. I'll contact you again on that front soon.

Graphics: sounds good, must let me know whenever you're ready.

As for the tire rack, if there are folks up in the Northeast who might want one of these, perhaps we can coordinate an order. I'm happy to have them shipped to me (northern New Jersey) if that works for folks...

If we get a group together, I would be interested in one. They are located in Quebec, so shipping to NJ might be a bit less?

I'm in. Randy, maybe the reverse can work for you also. I pick up your unit and bring it to VIR end of March. I would assume they come in a flat pack.

The sales rep and I guessed the boxes to be length x width x 4" - 6". They are shipped Yellow Freight or equivalent. I was told UPS and FedEx won't handle their size and weight.

Bob. The VIR pickup only works if I'm driving in the event. I'm just over an hour from the Carolina border. Maybe a meet and lunch is a doable option.

Moving slightly south, anyone else in MD, VA, PA, etc. interested? I'd be in for one as well if shipping/pickup could be arranged.
