my boss is asking what a 1976 912e is worth. he has a friend that needs to sell quickly. says it is in "mint condtion"....any ideas where to look for a price?

It would be helpful to have additional information, such as mileage, recent service, how original the car is, condition of the drivetrain, etc. Pictures would help. The term "mint condition," in my experience, has often been an exageration - is this an honest assessment of its condition?

We took it back to the P/O with a couple of beers and he kept it. He promised to return the $8,000 as his budget allowed. He was thrilled. We were thrilled. next one passes smog first.
