Do you happen to have the weights for the Carrera IIIs? 18x8 and 18x10?

Never mind, eventually I found the info with searching. Gawd, I suck at searching. =)

Front Rear
23 25 18" Carrera 3 OEM

Not certain what rear width he was quoting.

Here are some other wheel weights for comparison:

Porsche Factory Carrera S (C4) - 100 lbs, 0 oz.

8.0 x 19 22 lbs. 4 oz. offset 57mm
11.0 x 19 27 lbs. 12 oz. offset 51mm

Porsche 997TT – 105 lbs, 4 oz.

8.5 x 19 23 lbs 14 oz. offset 56mm
11.0 x 19 28 lbs 13 oz offset 51mm

Porsche GT3 RS – 110 lbs, 4 oz.

8.5 x 19 24 lbs 5 oz offset 53mm
12.0 x 19 30 lbs 13 oz offset 51mm

So the lobsters not only look good, they are the lightest.

I used to not like lobster forks but after looking at many older p-cars and understanding how they are part of the porsche design heritage, I've come to like them and to actually be proud to have them on my car.

Sorry but they are my least favorite rim for a Porsche! Looks like the small openings would also be a pain to clean the brake dust out of, but to each their own.

I love 'em, brings the look of the wheel up to date IMHO - twists and multi-spokes are looking dated.

Cleaning is easy with a wool wash mitt, and non of the spaces are too small to get into using this method.

The corners are radiused so dust build-up is easy to clean out, and the main spaces between the folks are big enough to get your hand in and clean the inside of the wheel each time you wash.

I do like them and I think they look great in darker colors. Just like the 70's and 80's with their Fuch's style wheel. Its about the heritage.

The lobsters are actually very easy to clean. I can get my whole hand in there and even clean the inside of the wheel. My M3 had RAC Monolite RG4's which were a mesh...now those were a pain. As far as looks you are absolutely right "to each their own." The only negative I feel about the lobster's are the small 8" wide front wheel, I wish it was 8.5".

I love the lobs now.
Just cleaned them yest.
VERY EASY to clean - especially with the following brush from carcareonline.
If you have lobs you need this brush (if you don't have something similar)

Product ID: 17625 Category: Detailing Tools
Detailers Choice Soft Wheel Brush
Description: 11" Brush
A super-soft wheel brush that is just the right size to reach deep into the inside of your wheels to loosen the brake dust.
MSRP: $7.00
C.C.S. Price: $6.30

I can get my hands in there..just push the car a tad forward and then I can get the spot behind the calipers.
