I'm installing Euro GT3 seats and Dietz harnesses in my 2004 GT3. I know there is a kit available to install the harnesses directly into the seats without having to drill any additional holes in the floor. Is this desirable?
Thanks
Are you talking about the anti sub bars? Yes, they bolt to the seats. You can buy the factory part from Porsche or you can buy them from Brey-Krause.
Rich
The reason it's also on the outer side, it enables you to mount the lap belts. So to sum it up, inner side attaches receptacle (stock belt) and lap belt (racing harness). The outer side is used only for lap belt. Stock belt end is fixed at stock location.

Hope this helps.
Thx CWay27.
However, let clarify my first question a bit.
The black rectanglur piece and bolt in the picture is only on the tunnel side of the driver's GT3 seat and not on the outer side.
Whereas on the passenger's GT3 seat it on both sides.
Am I missing it on the outer side of my driver's GT3 seat?
What is the consensus view? Attach the harness lap belts to the GT3 seat or use the B-K bits and attach the harness lap belts to the chassis?
I've heard it both ways but TRG attached my lap belts to the seat mounts via the BK hardware. I asked them about it and their thinking is that the seat ain't going anywhere so it's a good mount point.
