Default GT3 Euro Seats and harnesses

I'm installing Euro GT3 seats and Dietz harnesses in my 2004 GT3. I know there is a kit available to install the harnesses directly into the seats without having to drill any additional holes in the floor. Is this desirable?
Thanks

Would you buy a roadcar that had additional holes drilled to the floor?

You mean these pieces!!

Usually the come with the seats cause even the stock belt receptacle attaches to the side mount.

Are you talking about the anti sub bars? Yes, they bolt to the seats. You can buy the factory part from Porsche or you can buy them from Brey-Krause.

Just purchased a used set of GT3 seats.

Are these mounts just on the tunnel side of the Driver's GT3 seat or should it also be on the outboard side of the seat?

Reason I ask is because the Passenger's GT3 seat has that mount on both sides of the seat while the Driver's GT3 seat has it only on the tunnel side.

I understand the tunnel side/seat belt receptacle is mounted to the seat.

But is the seat belt, after it is looped through the GT3 seat, attached back to its original location on the sill or to the GT3 seat?

The reason it's also on the outer side, it enables you to mount the lap belts. So to sum it up, inner side attaches receptacle (stock belt) and lap belt (racing harness). The outer side is used only for lap belt. Stock belt end is fixed at stock location.

Hope this helps.

What is the consensus view? Attach the harness lap belts to the GT3 seat or use the B-K bits and attach the harness lap belts to the chassis?

Thx CWay27.

However, let clarify my first question a bit.

The black rectanglur piece and bolt in the picture is only on the tunnel side of the driver's GT3 seat and not on the outer side.

Whereas on the passenger's GT3 seat it on both sides.

Am I missing it on the outer side of my driver's GT3 seat?

And if need be, can it be purchased seperately?

You are missing one. Each seat should have two.

I've heard it both ways but TRG attached my lap belts to the seat mounts via the BK hardware. I asked them about it and their thinking is that the seat ain't going anywhere so it's a good mount point.

Are two necessary if you are getting the BK hardware? I only have one on each seat as well.
