Default Old Porsche Ad

I remember seeing (long ago) a Porsche advertisement in the old "Sports Cars Illustrated" (I think; might have been "Sports Car Graphic." So that tells you how long ago. I was in Jr. High) that showed a 356 of some vintage. (I remember it as dual grille, but it's been a long time.) This image was from the 3/4 right rear, going away from you. I don't remember all of the copy but there was a line in it, maybe the headline, that said "So you can have fun driving to work."

Anyone else remember this and where I might find it? As I recall the car was light yellow and it was a small ad, less than 1/4 page.

You mean this one? Think it is a T6-B or a C/SC. I'd love to make a T-Shirt out of this one day...

FWIW I have all those old magazines, I'll have to organize and catalog some day and perhaps do some hi-res scans of stuff....

That's really close to what I remember, but I'm thinking the one I saw was smaller (That one appears to be full-page) with the car in a RH turn, 3/4 rear, and much less ad copy. A shortened version. But that's close enough.

What got me to thinking of this was a tag-line on a post in the 911 forum that said (paraphrasing) that no Porsche should be subjected to the dullness of a commute. Exactly the opposite of what Porsche proposed "back in the day."

30mpg in the 50's and 60s. They were so far ahead of the curve unlike the gas guzzling American cars at the time. Don't get me wrong, I love the sound of the throaty American V8

Yup, even with massive Webber 44 IDFs my C would get 30-32mpg ...
