I recently came across a late 365 coupe that hasn't seen the light of day for the last 25 years. What should I be looking at before any price discuusions begin?

 

A loan application.



I would check it for rust - specifically holes that you could throw a dead cat through.

I hope you're able to pick it up.

 

Got a good friend who is into early Porsches and is very interested in checking it out!
Once we can get in and get some info, and hopefully purchase it. I'll share more, right now it has to be close to the vest. Don't want to get scooped!

 

a title would be a nice place to start.

 

One of the good things about Alabama - no title required for '73 or earlier vehicles.

Check the numbers - engine/chassis/body on front and rear lids

 

Just an update, owner is still playing hard to get. Car is still there, haven't been scooped yet!
