From the pics it looks to have had a low quality restoration. Is that paint fresh? Sometimes they post pics of the underside but not on this one. For the price it might be alright but I'd get more pics and a professional PPI from a knowledgeable 356 guy if you are really serious. Some of the cars I have seen advertised at this dealer have been pretty rough.

I read through their website and selling some rough cars appears to be their thing. They claim they will sell everything from a show ready car to a project car.
For this car they said the paint was a good 10-foot paint job. Does the hood fit right?

The hood looks like it has the dreaded "over-bite"......
not an easy fix.

When the hood sits slightly over the front valance. A couple causes would be that the front end was hit at some time and was repaired but not perfectly matched up to the hood. Another would be when someone tried to close the hood without lifting it up first, putting a kink in the hood. Repairing a kinked hood is not easy, and can result in a poor fit....."overbite".

i wouldn't necessarily say it is an "overbite"...it looks more to me that the new seal is preventing the hood from sitting down far enough. this is pretty common when new seals are replaced. because the hood is flexible is can "sit up" at the nose from the new hard seal. sometimes it can "sit up" around the entire perimeter of the hood too.

when a 356 hood is shut without lifting and it bends...the portion of the hood effected is the either the area in front of the hinges or just about 1/2 way down the hood on either side of hood near fenders edge.

i've never seen an overbite from a bent hood....usually its the opposite and the hood is a bit shorter and more of a gap by the nose because the hood has lost its length from the bend.

this hood would look perfect with some fine tuning. a couple of guys in seattle and northern california are good at fine tuning the metal in these cars!
