That roll bar is funny. Thing fell apart when the rear end took the hit! Glad he didn't need to rely on the bar's performance in that wreck.

Phil, you are quite right... my mistake - got my Ts mixed up (thank God there was no T3 or T4...).
Gene, I was remarking on the photo of the failed almost-a-rollbar, not your comment.
I see it was appraised at $140k - glad to know, mine just tripled in value.
cheers!

Ouch. Lots of usable parts there.
Interesting about the appraised value. Ours insured at stated value. I wonder if it was really appraised at that value, or if that was their stated value.

"Lots of usable parts there."
if the chassis isn't being held together by the paint, then an expert shop (or committed, talented enthusiast) could repair it... & should.

That's C J Murray's car, if I'm not mistaken, and the valuation is probably warranted; it just had a complete, exceptional restoration with LOTS of rare bits, and was put together as an outlaw. NOT a "bitsa", to quote Keith Martin. He was coming back from the West Coast Holiday and got rear-ended by a "70mph impact from a 2003 Mazda sedan that was being driven by a kid(maybe 20) with 3 other kids in the car. We were stopped for construction on I80."
