I have a set of four straight 356 C steel wheels (5-1/2 x 15) that I need to sell for a friend. Off his 1964 one-owner 356C. Any idea if there is much demand for these? Authentic Porsche OE parts--not remakes from Brazil.
I even think I read a manufacturer date stamp of 5/71 and a part number of 613 3A.
The reverse shot shows the worst of the lot.

Didn't you try to sell these a while back?
If you buy chrome wheels (rechromed originals) from NLA (http://www.nlaparts.com/store/chrome...6c-p-2550.html), they cost $229 each, with exchange, and the exchange deposit is $150 per wheel. Your wheels are not "current" date correct for any 356. I don't claim to be an expert, but I'm guessing they are worth at best maybe $400 for the set, if that.

No. Never attempted to sell these. Only learned of them recently.
The date stamp seems odd, unless they were once for the 911 line, which actively was factory provided until more and more moved to alloys in the early 70s.
Previously, I sold off a set of 4 Fuchs (6x15s) for Outlaw 356s.

Dan,
Those were likely stock wheels that went on a '72 911T (maybe a '71). They were std until '74. They would be desirable for resto by someone who wants their '71 / '72 911 to be "as built" according to its CoA. Most 911s that came to the US had optional alloys - Mahle gas-burners, ATS cookie-cutters or Fuchs.
{& btw, the set of Fuchs I got from you yrs ago are doing fine - thanks.}
cheers,

Thanks for the clarification. By the date stamps I figured they had to be 911 steelies, but not knowing the history of this car was unsure!

Why don't you try to sell them on the Early 911 Registry forum? Much better chance someone would be looking for "date correct" wheels there.
