Default Selling my 62B coupe

I am selling my 62 356B coupe and any help would be great. I have all records of car since new including original invoice. The matching numbers car is rust free and has lived in Riverside Ca for the past 46 years. The car currently has a Dean Polopolus built C motor in it with twin plug heads, LN engineering 90mm nickies and J&E pistons 10.5/1 comp, remote spin on and Weber 44IDAs. She makes around 140hp with lots of steady pulling torque. Trans is regeared taller 2nd 3rd, and 4th accordingly to make use of power up to a theoretical 140mph and has a customized GT torque biasing diff. I installed front discs but kept the drums for the future owner. I also have the original stamp dated chrome wheels. The original motor has zero miles on a complete Polopolus rebuild and comes with the car naturally. Also have the coveted tool kit. The car is a white beauty with Red leather and German squareweave. I could go on but Ill save that for later. Any advice or direction would be appreciated as we dont sell these everyday eh?

Rust? Paint condition? Repairs? PICTURES? Best to post pictures of the car. Probably should list it on the 356 Registry website.
Good luck

No rust except the usual slight degradation under battery on tray. The paint is an 8 out of ten because of a few chips. Gaps and chrome excellent. The paint is about 35 year old Emeron repaint and is thick and hard an it just keeps getting more shiny every year I own the car. I will try to post some pics. Thanks for the heads up on registry.

What happened?

The Polo motor was just installed in the '53 and now it's in the '62?

Is the car running?

How much?

Phil, I am not quite sure how to price so thats why I am asking for input with that, being this is kind of an unusual package. When I have a price I will post it here and in classified. Not trying to break any rules here as I love Rennlist.

No the motor in the 62 is a 356C motor that I had Polopolus build out for me. Its a Wilhoit type. The 53 is just being finished and is taking its place in the stable. The 53 will never leave me never!!!!!!!!!!moohahaha .......... BTW love your car Rolling Art, very pretty indeed.

If you're not hard up for cash, I'd consider running it through one of the Monterey auctions next August, one with a reserve. Chris Toy got $120k - $150k for his 930 powered coupe. Also, consider finding a european dealer who will work with you. Cars generally sell for more over there, plus you get the nice exchange rate.

Yeah, I probably will call RM as they seem to be the best auction house for European cars. I tried to make a deal with Russo and Steele at last Monterey sale but thet just wanted me to put stock motor in so they could sell it that way. The original engine is pretty much concours quality on the bench and the twin plug in the car is super driveable with the tall gears so its kinda unique for an ordinary 356B. Thanks for input Bleu, I may pursue the Euro dealer lead. How goes your project? I got to hear my baby breathing just before she went to Bursch for her pipes.

You have a 356 but you don't have camera? How bout' this. There is a '63 S90 coupe for sale in NorCal for 35K. It is beautiful. Engine isn't original but built by Pellow.
