Default new tires on my beetle- nice tires for a 356 or early 911!

Just wanted to post- had Vredestein Sprint Plus tires (and new rims) installed and these tires look great! A side comment is between the new tires, rims and a good balance from Euro Tire in Fairfield, NJ means for the first time I've got no shake in the steering I used to have between 50-60 mph!

Anyway, just wanted to let you know (I'm sure you've seen these advertised in the mags like Hemmings classic and stuff...)

As you can see, they have a classic 60's early 70's style tread and sidewall- nice for 356, early 911/912, or 914:

Those are nice, period-looking tires (and pricey too!). Now its time for you to swap them onto your new 356!

They were $100/tire (I'm running 165/15s), so not that bad.

Would love to get a 356, but at this point I'm lucky to keep my '93 911 and beetle

(actually I own the beetle with a friend- we bought it about 11 years ago and have been slowly getting it fixed up)

Looks great. You may already know, but most cases of the superbeetle steering shimmy is caused by sway bar bushings. Just in case some of the shimmy comes back.

I put Vredistein on my 356. Very pleased.
