Default 64 C engine

I need a value of what one of these is worth. I am looking at 2 at present. Both are in really good condition. All parts there and in good condition. Both have really good leak down numbers. What is the value? What is the going price? I need one and wish to be fair to the sellers. They have helped me and I wish to be fair to them.

Thanks.

core running engine in good condition that was rebuilt a while ago? id say around 3-4K

if it is a fresh rebuild and was rebuilt properly can be 5 - 12+ depends on how well you trust the guy and how it was rebuilt, and if you have all the paper work, know exactly what was put into it, fresh powdercoated tins etc.. low range for someone like a vw guy building it who probably built it incorrectly and will last a year before it blows up, and 12+ if you have someone like wilhoit or john benton build it where everything is done properly, powdercoated, zinc coated, new or refurbished bright work, tins etc, as well as performance upgrades.
