Congratulations!

If I were in your shoes I would frequently stand in my garage and wonder exactly what to do next!

Now sell some organs or children or something....but HANG-ON to that gorgeous old porsche! :P

Ultimately, it's all about you, the owner...

Me, I've had a couple 356s, and I've sold them and have since experienced a 993, a 996, a boxster, an early 911s, even a 912... It's the journey.. From a financial standpoint, it's obvious the old ones appreciate and the new ons depreciate like rocks... But life is short... Sure, I wish I could have kept them all, but realistically ($$$) speaking, I've owned practically all the Porsches that I wanted to own by now (except a 73RS and a GT3, but those are out of my league) - which beats having those cute 356s sitting in my garage and having never experienced anything else.

No regrets whatsoever. The 356s were lovely cars, but not driven very much in a modern environment... I'd say get the RS (but I see you just did, congrats), enjoy that, you know what a speedster feels like... I for one do not believe that the crazy prices we are seing now and going to last forever... Those things are cyclical (and based on disposable income from a certain age group), and a speedster will never be as rare as other collectibles... I betcha in 10 years they're back down to lower prices. I "should" still be around ;-)

PS: The "driving a slow car fast > fast car slow" is way overrated, as saying goes... It's even more fun to drive a fast car fast. Do a few laps in a modern GT3 on a racetrack and let's talk again ;-) Of course, if money were no object, I'd have another 356 ;-)
