I had planned to spend a part of the day driving around Seattle and taking pictures of my car at the various landmarks, but Fall arrived early and it rained the whole day. Finally after dinner, I noticed that the rain had stopped, so I grabbed my keys, camera and tripod and started driving around. Ended up at a park near my home where there was an wedding ceremony outside the museum and and it started raining again. I took a few quick pictures of my wet car and on the way out of the park, I saw that the wedding party was still outside taking pictures in the rain while the guests were inside drying off. Only in Seattle I guess.

Perry - beautiful car! May I ask what color it is? Looks a bit light for Ruby and a little too dark for Signal - actually looks more like Guards Red to me. I am debating colors for my repaint.

Jim.... No posting unless you have a pic attached LOL! Did you drive your 356 today or not? If not, shame on you.....

We were planning on driving early in the day, but then decided to wait until the afternoon and Robert fired up Gunter at exactly 3:56. Appropriate time, don't you think? We did a few high speed runs on a couple of streets that were closed to through traffic. WHAT???? You can't do that? No one was out there at all and they were all on the way back to our house.

Here's a picture of Gunter in front of a large Pumpkin farm near our home. Yes, they grow more than just Dates in the desert:

Here's Robert with Gunter. It rare for me to get a picture with Robert and one of the cars. It's usually me in the picture. This is nice for a change

We've come to the end of the road. Time to turn around and blast back towards home!

Back home and tucked in for the night:

It was fun. We decided we are going to go out and DRIVE more often now that the weather is finally suitable for cars with no A/C.

Its Ruby red, but with the over cast skies, and the extended exposure I used to get the shot, the shade of red is slightly off. Of course, when I park at 356 events with all the other Ruby Red cars, everyones Ruby Red is slightly different shade from each other.

Wow, Robert looks like he's 7 feet tall in that picture! How does he fold into that car?

BTW, great looking car, and I'm envious of your garage.

Nice pics Jo and Freddy!

I couldn't drive my 356 today. I took it in 2 weeks ago to Larry Markham to install my new Stebro exhaust, and oil change, valve adjust, and other miscellaneous stuff and he hasn't called me yet (and I've tried to reach him half a dozen times with no luck). If I didn't know him and trust him so much, I'd be worried. My bet is that he got the nasty cold virus that's going around.

Didn't realize this was a post with pics only thread, Jo! Anyway, here's a pic of my new muffler (that may or may not be installed yet!).

Sorry for the poor quality, had to take the picture with my camera phone as the batteries died in my camera. My son and I were out early, headed to a 356 restoration tech session.

Jim, that's a photo, so it counts. You know I'm just pullin' your leg. Sorry Larry didn't get your car back to you in time. Just think... when you get it back it's going to run like a charm!!!

NICE PICTURES EVERYONE!!!!

Thanks Luvmy356
The garage isn't done yet, but almost. The Commercial Indoor Outdoor carpeting is working well and he LOVES his new insulated garage doors which we think are a MUST in the desert. We can't figure out how other folks don't have them installed in their garages.

LOL!!! He does look 7 foot tall doesn't he?? LOL
Robert is ONLY 6'4" and fits easily into the car with plenty of room to spare.

Any more pictures guys??

The thing I learned from last weekend...you can really drive these tubs cross country...don't be afraid to drive'em to the West Coast Holiday...

Freddy got a "road eater"...it was born Damen but it's a "Hot Lady" right now...

A couple more pics from the point we started...Neal Goldberg's garage in Troy - MI...and his regaular 356 breakfast's Saturday...

I thought he was 5'8" & the 356 is a 3/4 scale replica...
(great shots from MI!)
