Yeah, Harry, but what about those valve guides ... Glad to hear you got home in one piece, and I highly recommend looking into the December 03 edition of Excellence magazine when it pubs in October.

By the way, did you ever get hooked up at the Plain Dealer?
Thanks! the trip was amazing, and my girl didnt miss a beat on the way back. i have pics from my trip (really badly scanned unfortunitly ) posted online. check out the red link at the bottom of my signature. she's running like a soeing machine right now, and im pleased with what was done. on top of that i found out what my winter project is; when she was on the lift at the shop, they found some nice rot on the pan. so ill be doing that, replacing rear spring plate bushings, lowering, and por 15ing the interior, which although is still solid, is begining to get some surface rust.

the repaint wouldnt be until im out of school unfortunitly, but in the mean time that pans gotta get done or i wont have much of a suspenion conected to the car next year.

well, im in columbus and still working on finishing up school (probably another year or 2), so the plain dealer would be tough to go for. im planning on going to the dispatch this winter though.
december edition of excellence... what do you know ? young gun, youre not Marco by any chance are you?

I know quite a bit as I keep my ear planted firmly to the ground. As for who I am ... what you don't know won't hurt.

As far as the Plain Dealer is concerned, I think it would behoove you to make your move before you get out of school. A news organization is more likely to hire you if you are currently in a journalism program because they feel that they can mold and shape you into their particular style ... which they can and will, and it's a style you will carry with you forever.

This can be both good and bad - good because it gives your voice perspective and depth; bad if you let it crush and silence your voice. Hard news writing leads to a robotic writing style which, from personal experience, destroys creativity.

looks like a fun project and not as rusty as my current one (the 58 coupe on it's way to being a Push rod GT clone )

Yeah, the rust on this one is there but not awful. I think it is matching numbers but am waiting on my COA from Porsche. Someone must have raced this car at some point becuase the body is dented and dinged like a racer.

WOW !!

I have [finally] started the restoration on the 356, and thought I should start a thread on Rennlist ! [as you do...]

A quick search revealed this thread - started by ME - 2 1/2 years ago !! LOL
2 1/2 years ....damn that went quick

Ok, so do we continue with this thread ?
or
do we make this thread part 1 of a series of threads ......and move onto part 2 ?
[possibly very long restoration]

I am in your hands
