Default DON'T FORGET! 9/17 is Drive your 356 day!!! UPDATED W/PICS!!!

Several years back a group of 356 owners decided to honor Ferry Porsche's Birthday by starting a Drive your 356 Day. There were cars brought out that hadn't seen the light of day for years and a new tradition was born.

Ferry's Brithday is on 9/19 but since that doesn't always fall on a weekend the designated drive day is always on the Sunday closest to his actual Birthday.

SO................ Take those 356's out of the garage!!! Drive them around the block or drive them a hundred miles, it doesn't matter. But remember no matter where you go or what you do, make sure you take a picture, post it here, and tell us all about it.

We're going to drive to Stuttgart....... Stuttgart, Arkansas that is!!!

Jo

PS: I don't see why other Porsche Models can't also enjoy Drive your 356 day.
I used to follow Robert in my 993 and I called it Drive your Porsche Day...

And for those of us who just stick to 9/19, we get to drive our 356s while talking like a pirate.

It would help if mine was running and I didn't have to sit in it going "Vroom...AARR!... Vroom... ARR!"

Jo, as you point out, post-356 Porsches are fine cars - their main value being to support their elders.

it's "Drive Your 356 Day", not drive your Porsche... but don't let that stop anyone from driving anything, anytime. rather, encouragement to BUY A 356?

Hi Y'all!!! Just got back from a very "Spirited" run in Gunter our '58 Coupe. Wow, he's really helping me forget about Max. Max?? Who's Max?? Gunter sure can scoot!!! We drove down to Lake Catherine State Park even though the weather forcasters are calling for Rain and Hail. NOT Perfect conditions for honoring Ferry. The sun is out now. What the heck do the forcasters know anyyway???

Here's a picture of Speedster doing the navigating for PawPaw so that he doesn't get lost:

Here's Gunter at the park:

Getting ready to load up for the ride home:
