Default Two bald guys and their cars...

I am normally on the 964 board but I have to tell you about a nice experience this weekend. I am a swedish citizen living in Rome, Italy (3 yr contract).
This Saturday I met another bald guy (but he was probably 70yrs, I am only 34, bald already). He crossed me in an intersection while I was standing waiting for a red-light. I waved respectfully and he waved back and flashed his headlights. This felt so good because we are talking about Italy, not UK or US where this happens more often.
It is nice to see that our cars "is a universal" interest and a part of our DNA chain is the same.
Myself in my 964 20 yrs younger than me, him in his 356 probably 20 yrs younger than him. We both had a big smile on our faces.....

Henrik

I was kinda expecting a classic joke, something like, "so, these two balled Porsche owners walk into a bar..." anyway, Henrik, thanks - it is good to know that marque unity remains universal (& your English is better than the Swedish & Italian of most of us). to paraphrase Neil Young on another topic, but applicable to Porsches & bald guys, "... they're old, but they're good..." cheers!

Hej Hendrik,

I didn't mean to insult your english - my Senvsk is worse.

Driving a 356 I meet lots of friendly people, driving the 914 only VW drivers wave and driving the boxster everyone (except the police) ignores me.

the 964 I had before the boxster was acknowledged by most prorsche drivers.

It seems that people are friendlier towards the older models....or maybe the balder ones....

correction: All porsche owners wave to each other except to 944/924/951 owners.

it's rough owning a 951...no respect lol.

But thats a good story and it's good that you got a wave back and the flash of the headlights. Usually you just get 1 of the 2, the combo is rare...you should feel special.
